High Street Home, another success story…

After extensive discussion and negotiation with the local planning authority, it gave me great pleasure to be able to advise our client that we have secured planning and listed building permission for the conversion, renovation and extension of their Grade 2 listed home in Hastings Old Town.

The extension component of the project required us to produce full construction details to show how the extension would not adversely affect the listed building and the neighbouring buildings, which are also Grade 2 listed. Whilst lengthy in duration and frustrating for a client who simply wanted to complete the planned works so they can move into their new home, the iterative process demonstrated how it is possible to achieve the desired outcome by way of careful and detailed discussion with the planning and conservation team.
